Raymond R. White, 78, of Belvidere, died Monday, May 23, 2011 in Homebridge Care Center following a lengthy illness. Born November 23, 1932, in Kingston, Illinois; the son of Arthur Walter and Dora Margaret (Sheley) White, Sr. Raymond graduated from Genoa-Kingston High School class of 1950. He repaired appliances, worked in farming with his dad, then worked for Ingersoll Milling Co. before starting White's Electric Company. Raymond married Mable B. Brown in Belvidere on September 17, 1955. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Belvidere Moose Club and the F.F.A. in high school. Raymond is survived by his five sons, Robert (Ludy) White, William (Laurie) White, Michael (Dawn) White, Dale (Lena) White, and James White; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, Phyllis Zimmerman and Mary Alice White and a brother Arthur White.
