Belvidere, ILRaymond J. Schwebke, 91, of Belvidere, IL died Saturday April 23, 2011 in Homebridge Care Center, Belvidere, after a lingering illness. Raymond was born March 6, 1920 in Belvidere the son of Harry and Gertrude (Parent) Schwebke. He married Margaret Hall on June 20, 1969 in Kirkland, IL. Raymond farmed for many years and worked for the Belvidere Street Department for 22 years. After he left the Street Department, Raymond worked for Paul Berg Industries until he was 83. He was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ where he was a trustee for twelve years. Raymond was honorably discharged from the Illinois Reserve Militia.He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Margaret; daughter Karen ( David) Harbolt of Belvidere; son Dale (Phyllis) Schwebke of Belvidere; sister Mildred Priem of Belvidere; brother Roy Schwebke of Juda, WI; stepsons Robert (Deb) Hall of Belvidere, Stanley Hall of Rockford; stepdaughter Margie (Roy) Mullins of Rockford; eight step-grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren and several nieces. He is predeceased by his parents and stepson Terry Hall.
