Raymond Elmer Lee,87, of Belvidere, Il died Monday morning, May 8, 2006 in Northwoods Care Center after a lingering illness. Raymond was born February 4, 1919 in Belvidere the son of Ellsworth G. and Ella (Blank) Lee. He married Shirley M. Nimtz on August 8, 1945 in Rockford, IL. Raymond devoted his life to farming and was a veteran of the US Army serving in the 112th Calvary in the So. Pacific during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Shirley of Garden Prairie; son, Gary R. Lee of Belvidere; daughter, Gail (Rich) Nelson of Belvidere; grandchildren Kerrie (Paul) Floyd, Brian (Shannon) Lee, Heather Nelson, Wendy Nelson; great grandchildren, Justin and Madalyn Lee; sisters, Shirley Myers, Ruth Romans; brothers, Russell Lee, Howard Lee. Raymond is predeceased by his parents; sister, Charlotte; brothers, Kenneth, Stanley, Gordon, Robert and Emory.

A memorial will be established in his name.
