Raymond J. Kentgen, 70, of Belvidere, died Thursday, September 15, 2011 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a lingering illness. He was born on March 5, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois; the son of Gerhardt and Helen (Gulas) Kentgen. Ray is a graduate of York High School, Elmhurst, Illinois. He was married to Mary (Pidone) Kentgen in Chicago on June 16, 1958. Ray was a machinist for G. Wolfe Company. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Addison, Illinois. He is survived by his wife, Mary; three children, John (Debbie)Kentgen; Rick (Rene) Kentgen and Sue (Greg) Alvarez; six grandchildren, Jonathan Vincent; Eric James and Jenna Renee Kentgen; and Jessica Lee; Kelley Renee; and Peter Jose Alvarez; a brother, Gary (Leslie) Kentgen. Ray is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert.
