Raymond Kennedy, 47, of Belvidere, IL passed away November 23, 2018. He came into this world January 16, 1971 in Chicago, IL to two loving parents, Morris and Diane (Sutton) Kennedy. Raymond graduated from Belvidere High School and continued his education at Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He was a member of the US Navy from 1991 to 1998 and was proud to serve his country. Raymond previously did phlebotomy work at OSF St. Anthony's and later worked as a material handler at Bergner's. He began his spiritual journey when became baptized in Detroit, MI. He loved music and sports, especially watching the Bears and Golden State Warriors on television. Raymond also enjoyed track and field. He ran college track at the University of Dubuque.

Raymond is loved and will be missed by his children, Tyress, Jordan, Maxwell, and Mariah Kennedy; siblings, Richard (Amy) Kennedy and Morris (Anna) Kennedy Jr.; grandchild, Kaliah; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Ruby Kennedy; maternal grandparents, Willia Mae and Sam Sutton; and uncles, Steve Robinson, John Kennedy, Louis Kennedy, Lucious Kennedy, and Larry Kennedy.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 until time of service. Burial we be at Belvidere Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018.
