Raymond Gadomski, 81, of Belvidere, IL died Monday, January 4, 2016. Raymond was born October 20, 1934, the son of Bruno and Mary Gadomski. Raymond grew up on the northwest side of Chicago where he loved to play basketball. Standing at 6ft 9in, Ray excelled at basketball; he played for Weber High School in Chicago as well as DePaul University and Carthage College. He married Tammy on September 11, 1959, in Chicago, IL. Ray made a career working with electronics and had a passion for antique cars. Raymond was known for speaking Polish, as well as the reading an occasional story in Polish to his grandchildren.

Ray will be loved and missed by his sons; Raymond (Daniel Clements) Gadomski Jr., Brian (Natasha) Gadomski; grandchildren Aunalese, Luca and Brody Gadomski. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Tammy.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday January 16, 2015, in Davis United Methodist Church,129 Herbert Rd, Kingston, IL 60145. Visitation will take place Friday, January 15, 2016, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut, Belvidere, IL. Burial will take place in Shattuck's Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
