Raymond Arthur Daniels, 83, of Cherry Valley, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in Nelson-Debes Subacute Complex. Born October 24, 1929 in Belvidere; son of Arthur F. and Ellen (Hagedorn) Daniels. Worked as a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed playing baseball and was an avid Cub's fan. Loved to garden, travel, and read books about "the West". Surivors include his daughter Diane Daniels of Senegal, West Africa; sons Duane Daniels of Jacksonville, FL, Dennis (Jill) Daniels of Belvidere; grandchildren James (Deanna) Daniels, Duane Daniels, Candie (Mike) Steinman, Robert Daniels, Colin (Whitney) Hutten, and Ryan Hutten; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; former wife Charlene Daniels; sister Marie Behnke; a niece and 2 nephews. Predeceased by parents, grandson Jeff Evenson, and nephews Harold Winter and Frances Behnke.
