Rachel H. Henry, 93, of The Villages, FL and formerly of Kirkland and Rockford, died Thursday, July 10, 2008 in her villa. Mrs. Henry was born at home in DeKalb County, IL on October 8, 1914 the daughter of Eugene and Dora (Mack) Shirley. She married Mr. Gail Henry on February 4, 1942. Mrs. Henry lived her entire life in the Kirkland and Rockford as a farmer's wife and stay at home mother. She and her husband enjoyed a villa in The Villages, FL the last two winters so they could enjoy time with their daughter and son-in-law and many caring friends. Mrs. Henry enjoyed seeing all the dogs in The Villages, going for golf cart rides, lunch and shopping.Survivors include her husband Gail, daughter, Linda (Brad) Turecek, The Villages, FL; five step grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; one step great-great grandson; a nephew, two grandnephews, two great-grandnephews and a great-grandniece.
