Phyllis P. Goltermann, 76, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, September 24, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family.  Phyllis was born June 25, 1939 in Genoa, IL the daughter of Karl H.  and Victoria L. (Becker) Scherer.  Phyllis was a graduate of Genoa - Kingston High School.  She married Donald A. Goltermann on February 20, 1960 in Genoa.  Phyllis spent her working career in the banking field.  She worked for Genoa State Bank, United Bank of Belvidere and twenty-six years for Belvidere Bank.  Phyllis' spiritual home was Christ the Rock Lutheran Church where she was a member.  She enjoyed helping children and reading.  Phyllis is loved and will be missed by her daughter, Vicky L. Goltermann of Belvidere; sister, Marylyn A. Payton of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Robert B. Scherer of Genoa and several nieces and nephews.  Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald and sister, Mabel Schultz.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Christ the Rock Lutheran Church, 8330 Newburg Rd., Rockford with Rev. Timothy Frick officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Garden of Memories.  Memorials can be given in care of the family.
