Philip G. Resendez, 70, of Rockford, IL passed away suddenly, Thursday, January 4, 2018. He was born June 15, 1947 in San Bernardino, CA, the son of Philip and Josephine (Graham) Resendez. He graduated from Belvidere High School. Phillip married Linda Thornton on April 29, 1967 in Belvidere, IL. Philip served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam era. He was employed by the Rockford Police Department for 16 years. Philip loved fishing and finding antiques.

Philip is survived by his daughters, Andrea (Vince) Bowers, Carrie (Luke) Bufalo, and Melissa Resendez; his grandchildren, Marisa, Marina, Alison, Daniel, Mariahn, and Donovan; his siblings, Neal (Katie) Resendez, Steven (Mila) Resendez, and Janice (Dick) Kane; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Linda.
