Penny S. Chamberlin, 73, of Belvidere, IL passed away, November 3, 2021 at SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford, IL. Penny was born July 25, 1948 in Belvidere, IL the daughter of Elmer and Gladys (Peters) Eckhardt. Penny was a graduate of Belvidere High School and married the love of her life, Michael Chamberlin on July 2, 1966. Penny worked for Belvidere Bank and American General Finance for many years. She was known for her many talents in bowling, softball, golf and pickleball. Penny was awarded the Bowler of the Year in Boone County and also served as president of the Bowling Association. Penny enjoyed her time with the many teams she participated with, especially coaching the Jr. Bowling league. Penny was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere where she was a member of the Ladies' Guild. Penny loved the time she got to watch her twin grandsons, Easton and Maddox. She will be missed by all.

Penny is loved and missed by her children, John Chamberlin, Robb (Lindsey) Chamberlin; grandchildren, Haley (Josh), Easton, Maddox, Colton, Coby; great-grandchildren, Ryker, Hadlee; siblings, Carol Rasmussen, Dona Schwedersky; sister-in-law, Donna Eckhardt; chosen family, Katie Anderson and Emma Anderson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; siblings, Elmer Eckhardt, Bill Eckhardt; brother-in-law, Jim Schwedersky.

The visitation for Penny will be 12:00 p.m.-1:45 p.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1045 Belvidere Rd., Belvidere, IL 61008. The memorial service for Penny will be held at 2:00 p.m. following the visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials to the family to establish at a later date.
