Pedro Herrera, 58, of Belvidere, IL died suddenly Friday morning, August 4, 2006 in Swedish-American Hospital. Pedro was born July 3, 1948 in Buena, Ventura Jimenez del Taul, Zacatecas, Mexico the son of Juan and Raquel (Villa) Herrera. Pedro and Guadalupe (Hernández) have been together for 36 years. Pedro retired from Marengo Foundry after 22 years of employment. He truly enjoyed the outdoors and the beauty of the earth.Survivors include his wife Guadalupe; children, Elsa Hinojosa, Octavio Herrera, Claudio Herrera, Grimaldo Herrera, Cindy Leanos and Maria Herrera; brothers and sisters Andres, Antonio, Socorro, Carmela, Rosaria, Grimaldo, Seferino, Eloisa, Belen, Rafael, Odelia, Martina; two step-brothers Tonio, Valentin; fifteen grandchildren Sandra, Cristal, Uliana, Alberto, Johan, Mauricio, Alejandro, Sebastian, Lyric, Araceli, Grimaldo, Jr., Monica, Sofia, Claudio, Jr., Jasmin. Pedro is predeceased by his parents, son, Rafael and grandson, Abel Sanchez.Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2006 in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev. Ariel Valencia of St. James Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 a.m. to service Wednesday at the funeral home.
