Belvidere

Pauline Elvin, 83, went home to Heaven to be with her Lord while in the presence of family members, on Saturday, July 14, 2018. She was born Mary Pauline Hardesty on February 24, 1935 in Oregon, IL to Paul and Ethel (Sanford) Hardesty. Pauline married Donald E. Elvin at the family church in Washington Grove, IL on October 3, 1953.

She attended and graduated from Oregon High School. In her earlier years she worked for Sears and Roebuck as a catalog specialist, all the while remaining a Farmer's wife and homemaker. Pauline enjoyed reading, bingo, the family farm life and spending time with her family.

Pauline is survived by three of her sons; Ed (Marion); Pete and John; sister Marilyn (John) Schwartz. Also four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; special cousin Dwight Hedrick and special friend and caregiver Kim Gazouski. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, sister Marie and son David.

A memorial gathering will be held at Central Christian Church, 6506 Guilford Rd, Rockford, IL on Saturday July 28th at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the family cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Pauline's name to St Jude's Hospital.
