Paul L. Wilson, age 83, of Belvidere, Illinois, and former ly Park Ridge and Palatine, IL, died peacefully, Tuesday morning, August 9, 2005 in his home after a lingering illness. Paul was born August 18, 1921 in Blacksburg, SC the son of Walter H. and Louzetta E. (Lovelace) Wilson. He married Audrey Schuman-Kost-Behnke on October 6, 1990 in Palatine, Illinois. Paul retired from the Park Ridge Park District in 1994, where he worked as a mechanic. Paul was very handy and could fix anything. He enjoyed helping his neighbors, family and friends. During World War II, Paul served our country in the US Army. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.Survivors include his wife Audrey of Belvidere; children, Margaret (John) Pasternack of Indiana, Paul (Felice) Wilson, Jr. of Barrington, IL; stepchildren, Desmond (Kathy) DeFigueiredo of Michigan, Dave (Carol) Kost of Capron, Kathy ( Randy) Grimes of Belvidere, Bob (Maria) Kost of Glenview, IL, Pam ( Duke) Pfeiffer of Schaumburg, IL; brother, Furman (Margaret) Wilson of Kings Mountain, SC; nephew, "Jeep" (Tonya) Wilson of Kings Mountain, SC; sixteen Grandchildren and seventeen Great-Grandchildren.Paul is predeceased by his parents, first wife Dorothy Wilson and stepson Dennis DeFigueiredo.The family acknowledges OSF Cancer Center and Hospice Care of America and staff for the care given to Paul and his family.
