Patrick W. Peterson, 69, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Alden Debes Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Rockford, IL.  Patrick wrote his own obituary in the year 2000.  Patrick says, "I was born October 1, 1951 in Belvidere, IL and raised by my father and step-mother, (Percy L "Pete" and Mildred "Peggy" (Cook) Peterson. I graduated from Belvidere High school in 1969 and was a member of St. James Church as well as the Knights of Columbus.  I loved music and writing poetry, short stories and even had some of my work published.  I am survived by my family consisting of Mitzi (Marvin) Stroud , James (Pearl) Cook, Julie  (David) Dawson, Jill (Randy) Bruder and Stuart (Kyra) Bremer and several cousins.  I am preceded in death by my parents, grandparents, step-sister Beatrice Sczepanski; aunts Ruth "Babe" Keating and Josephine Glee.

My visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL, with my funeral ceremony immediately following and burial at Belvidere Cemetery. I would prefer memorials to be sent in care of the funeral home for a headstone in my memory.
