Patrick J. Eskew, 28, died unexpectedly, Saturday, May 10, 2014 in his home after a sudden illness.  Patrick was born August 7, 1985 in Belvidere, the son of Sumner M. and Jamie M. (Webster) Eskew.  Patrick graduated from Belvidere High School and earned his B.A from Illinois Institute of Art.  Patrick was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ where he was Baptized and Confirmed.  Patrick was an Eagle Scout with two Palms and earned the Venturing Silver Award, being the 3rd scout in the Blackhawk Area Council to have achieved such a level.  He enjoyed being outdoors, hiking and serving as a life guard at Co-Co Keys Resort as well as conversations.  Patrick was very artistic and had a passion for photography and trains.

Patrick is loved and will be missed by his parents, Sumner and Jamie; brother, Christopher; paternal grandparents, George and Catherine Eskew of Poplar Grove; uncles, Lawrence (Kari) Eskew of Belvidere, George Eskew of Georgia; great-aunt, Lillian Thompson of Morris, IL; great-aunt and uncle Mary Ann (Robert) Clark of Louisiana; and cousins.  Patrick is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Margaret Webster.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, Il with Rev. Muriel Morley Jahn officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Private burial will take place.  Memorials in Patrick's name can be given in care of his family.  To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.Andersonfcs.com
