Patricia Ann Walter, 84, of Rockford, IL, went to be with the Lord on August 31, 2023. She was born on March 19, 1939 in Belvidere, IL. The daughter of Lelia (Washburn) and John Bush. Pat graduated from North Boone High School. On August 15, 1959 she married the love of her life, Donald Walter. Together they shared 3 children and 45 years in marriage. She was a devoted member of The New Milford United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She had a kind heart and dedicated much of her time serving the Lord and taking care of others. Pat enjoyed gardening, canning, and relishing in life's many blessings. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, family and high school friends "Card Club" for over 40 years. Dedicated to her faith, family, and close friends, Pat will be missed by all who knew her.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her children, Michael (Tina) Walter, Brenda Walter, Brian (Donna) Walter; grandchildren, Ryan, Erick, Adam (Sarah), Nick (Heather), and Matthew Walter; a great grandbaby on the way; sister, Beverly "Kay" (Irv) Case; sister by the heart, Sharon Cottrell; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; church family; Sierra Heights family; and Cloister's family whom she loved dearly. She is welcomed into heaven by her husband, Donald Walter; her parents, Lelia and John Bush; sister, Virginia (Gin) Bietau; numerous aunts, uncles, and in-laws, as well as beloved neighbors, Toni and Mary.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services are going to be at Chemung-Dunham Cemetery, located at 24169 Pagles Rd. in Chemung, IL 60033 at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 14, 2023. A luncheon at the New Milford United Methodist Church, 7102 Cindy Drive, Rockford, IL 61109, will follow the graveside service.
