Patricia Lou Tolsma, 78, of Belvidere, died Thursday, May 29, 2014 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Born February 27, 1936 in Kendallville, IN; the daughter of Laurence and Alberta (Schmuck) Jackson. She graduated from Rome City, IN High School. Pat married James D. Tolsma in Sturgis, MI on May 22, 1965. She was employed as a Bookkeeper for DeLong Grain Elevator for over 25 years. Pat was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Door County, WI and New Smyrna Beach, FL. Pat is survived by son, Michael (Kelly) Tolsma, Belvidere, IL; daughter, Jan (Mark) Newport, Montgomery, IL; 7 grandchildren, Sherri (Shaun) Taylor, Travis (Kaleena) Tolsma, Cory (Sarah) Neubert, Erica (Mason) Golden, Emily Anderson, Christian Anderson, Christina Newport; 8 great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Camryn, Kaitlyn, Tommy, Caden, Maximus, Aaron and Jillian; a brother Roger (Linda) Jackson; and special friend, Kathy Arnett; preceded in death by parents, husband, and daughter, Sherri.

Funeral Services 5:30 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2014 in Immanuel Lutheran Church 1045 E. Belvidere Rd. Belvidere, IL. The Rev. Allan Buss, Pastor, officiating. Visitation Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. in the church. Private burial in Belvidere Cemetery.
