Patricia J. "Pat" Adkins, 61 of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully, Friday morning, March 16, 2018 in Alden Debes Nursing Home after a lingering illness.  Pat was born April 19, 1956 in Valley City, ND the daughter of Harold J. and Elaine M. (Beil) Denning.  She married Jerry L Adkins on October 21, 2006 in Belvidere, Il at the Boone County Historical Museum.  Pat worked retail for Stop and Go and more recently Mobil on Pearl Street.  She and Jerry enjoyed drives in the country which culminated in enjoying a lunch or dinner together; crocheting afghans and baby blankets for family, reading Danielle Steel novels, playing bingo in her younger years; but Pat really enjoyed spoiling her nieces and nephews.  She was a former Girls Scout Leader and member of the American Legion.

Pat is loved and will be missed by her husband, Jerry of Belvidere; son, Bradley Robinson; sister, Barbara (Don) Dittbenner; brother, William (Donna) Denning all of Belvidere; nieces and nephews, Staci Rochon, Laurel Frazier, Kathy (Jeff) Walton , Mike (Amanda) Denning all of Belvidere, Matt (Dina) Denning of Roscoe; mother in-law, Dixie Adkins of Poplar Grove; sister in-law, Penny (Greg) Crull of Capron; brother in-law, Douglas (Sue) Adkins of Genoa; nieces and nephews in-law, Tiffany (Ty) Walker, Tabatha Files both of Capron, Melissa (James) Davidson; Jessica (Steve) Kohlm and Erik (Staci) Adkins all of Capron; 13 great nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews in-law. Pat is predeceased by her parents and father in-law Jerome "Jerry" Adkins.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL with Chaplain Joe Militello of Heartland Hospice officiating.  Memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Memorials can be given in care of the family.  To share a memory please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
