Patricia A Houpt, 75, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully September 24, 2023 in Rockford. She was born July 28, 1948, in Mauston, WI, daughter to William and Shirley (Grover) Purvis. She graduated from North Boone High School and worked in the shipping and receiving department of Dean Foods, was a secretary at Capron Lutheran Church and worked at Black Hawk Bank when it was the original Capron State Bank. She also worked for Dan Manning Insurance.  Hobbies include nature enthusiast and people watching especially at the Boone County Fair which she loved to attend. She loved live music, especially polka at the Bake House with her mother and also enjoyed the live music of George James and The Mood Express. She was strong in her faith, cared deeply for friends and family, and took many random road trips. She was always worried about everyone else first and dedicated to anything she did. She was a member of the Moose Auxiliary.

She will be loved and missed by her son, Derik (Amie Coleman) Houpt; grandkids, Zach, Olivia, Jesse, Cole, Lucy; Godson, Josh Nelson; brothers, Bill, Bob and Dale Purvis; and many special relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband Larry Houpt.
