Opal M. Fitch, 92, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Swedish-American Heart Hospital following a sudden illness. Born February 11, 1922 in Maquoketa, Iowa; the daughter of George and Ethel (Saunders) Lindsey. She married Walter V. Fitch in Harvard, IL. She is survived by 3 sons, Ed (Kathy) Fitch, Poplar Grove, IL; Larry Fitch, of Belvidere and Bernard (Barbara) Dowey, of Woodstock, IL. 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Arlene Eicksteadt. She is preceded in death by her parents and Husband.
