Nova G. Rayphole, 78, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in her son's home following a short illness. Born September 14, 1928 in LaSalle, Illinois, the daughter of Carwin Ray and Violet Leah (Emmons) Wheeler. Nova has lived in Belvidere 38 years moving here from Hillsboro, IL. She was employed as a Nurses Aid by Maplecrest Nursing Home for many years, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed doing ceramic projects in her spare time and was a licensed Kiln operator. Nova is survived by her four children, Carl (Laurie) Rayphole, Belvidere; Vy (Jerry) Herman, Charleston, IL; Donald (Patti) Rayphole, Belvidere; and Tammy (Dave) Marino, LaSalle, IL; one sister, Camilla Micnhimer, Belvidere; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Bader; a great-grandson, Tyler Rayphole.
