Norris Roy Walley, 93, of Capron IL, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2021 in Mercy Harvard Care Center. Norris was born on November 27, 1927 in Garden Prairie the son of Clarence and Nellie "Pearl" Walley. He married Marjorie A. Black on January 15, 1949 in Sharon WI. Norris worked for Walley Trucking with his father starting in 1946. Norris was a member of the Boone County Grange for 40 years, Boone County Fair Board and Boone County Farm Bureau for over 10 years. Norris loved all animals especially his horses and dogs. Norris was the unofficial county vet, enjoyed driving his team of horses and most importantly spending time with his family. Norris made his spiritual home at Blaine United Methodist church for over 65 years.

He is loved and missed by his children, Patrick (Vicky) Walley, Lucille "Kay" (Earl) Ellingson, Martin Walley; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way. He is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie; daughter, Kristi Walley; parents, Clarence and Pearl; sisters, Anna Mae and Ruth.

The walk-through visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2021 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Due to state guidelines facemasks and social distancing required. Services will be private. There will be a recording of the funeral ceremony made available at a later date.
