Norman E. Vetter, 83, of Belvidere, formerly of Forsyth, Missouri, died March 2, 2006 after a short illness. Born June 7, 1922 in Newton, Wisconsin, son of Emil and Amanda (Goeke) Vetter. Married Stella B. Knutson on August 10, 1942 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He worked the shipyards in Manitowoc, Wisconsin coming here to Belvidere in 1953. He was a welding shop foreman at W.F. & John Barnes in Rockford for 26 years before retiring to Forsyth, Missouri in 1981. Member of Forsyth United Methodist Church, Good Sam Camping Club, Acorn Sam camping club and a lifetime member o the Illinois Freemasons. Predeceased in death by parents, sister, Delores Van Dornick and wife of 62 years, Stella Blanche Vetter in December 2004. Survived by sons, Robb (Grace) Vetter of Woodstock, Illinois and Ronald (Terri) Vetter of Belvidere, Illinois. Also survived by grandchildren, Geoff Vetter and Nicole Vetter of Woodstock and Adam Vetter and Ryan Vetter of Belvidere.
