Norman A. Jones, Jr., 59, of Rockford, left this earthly life on May 6, 2010 in his home. Born July 17, 1950 to Norman Sr. and Vanda (Hoelzel) Jones in Belvidere. Graduate of North Boone High School. Was a member of the US Army serving in Germany and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Worked with his father at Norm's Sales and Service, the Wagon Wheel Resort and the Clock Tower Resort. Norman enjoyed collecting Depression glass and other collectibles and also did needlepoint and tatting.Survivors include is life partner Ronald Pettit of Rockford, sisters Sharon (Delbert) Poulda of Poplar Grove and Linda (Terry) Trimble of Cherry Valley; nieces and nephews Robert (Becca) Trimble, Melissa Miller, Toni (Peter) Lutzow, Craig Wegner, Nadine Loveridge, Del (Chris) and Dela (Jenn) Wade, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents.
