Cherry Valley, ILNorma Jean Wilson, 81 of Cherry Valley, Il died Tuesday afternoon, May 10, 2011, in the emergency room of Swedish American Hospital Belvidere, unexpectedly after a lingering illness. Norma was born November 13, 1929 in Cherry Valley, IL the daughter of John and Lylas (Morehead) Wilson. Norma graduated from Belvidere High School and went to work for ther Farmer's Coop in Belvidere. She then became the secretary and accountant for Melvin Banks retiring after over 30 years of service. She was a member of the Flora Home Mission, Flora Grange and Boone County Farm Bureau.Norma is survived by her sister, Helen Howland; brother in-law, Edward W. Smith and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; sisters Ramona Ward, Hazel Smith; brother, John Wilson; brother in-laws Harold Howland and Albert Ward; nephews Mike and Jerry Howland.
