IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Noah Narvel
Mullins
July 31, 1943 – August 4, 2025
Noah Narvel Mullins, 82, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on July 31, 1943, he was the son of Georgetta (Beverly) and William Ode Mullins.
Noah was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who deeply cherished his family. He had a big heart, a great sense of humor, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. On July 31, 1971, he married the love of his life, Linda Hampton — a birthday gift that turned into a 54-year journey of love and partnership.
Noah had a lifelong passion for working with his hands. A skilled auto mechanic, he was the go-to guy when your car was acting up — and he never hesitated to drop what he was doing to help. He also loved the outdoors, whether it was tending to his garden, mowing the lawn, or just enjoying the peace of nature.
He was proud of his involvement in the community, especially through the County Line Grange, the Pomona Grange, and the Illinois State Grange, where he frequently entered his homegrown vegetables. He was also a former board member of the Boone County Fair. Noah was a long time member of the Belvidere Moose Lodge #295 and volunteered for many years at the Salvation Army.
Noah worked for many years at Sunstrand Corporation, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability. Even after retirement, he stayed active, joining the maintenance team at the Belvidere Walmart-because he genuinely enjoyed keeping busy and being around people. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Noah is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Bart (Cissy) Adkins; daughters, Misty Cole, Virgie (Brandon) Taylor; grandchildren, Megan Allen, Mika (Jonah) Justice, Emily (David Pulliam) Cole, Jacob (Sierra) Cole; great-grandchildren, Charley Kate, Harrison, Lawson, Maddie, Liam, Kaisyn, and grand-dog, Bruce. His siblings, Chester Mullins, Darnell Mullins, Terry (Cindy) Mullins, and Ann (Tommy) Sauceman; sister-in-law, Glenda Compton; brother-in-law, Russell Jr. (Kim) Hampton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family whom he loved dearly.
He is welcomed into heaven by his parents, William and Georgetta Mullins, brother, Sam Mullins; sister, Joyce Brown, baby-sister, Rayma Sue, as well as sister-in-law, Carol Johnson.
Noah's visitation will be Tuesday, August 12, between the hours of 9-11am at Anderson Funeral Home. Located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008. Funeral to follow at 11am with burial to follow at Shattuck Grove Cemetery.
