Nelson S. Gooding, 92, of Belvidere, formerly of Arlington Heights, died Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Maplecrest Care Centre. Born June 3, 1920 in Morgantown, WV; son of Forrest and Nora (Braham) Gooding. Was married to Elizabeth Anderson. Worked as a mechanic for United Motor Coach for many years and was known as a handyman who could fix just about anything.Survivors include his son Dave (Suzanne) Gooding of Garden Prairie, daughter Carol Beth (Jim) Goad of Bridgeport, WV, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, wife Elizabeth, and son Donald Gooding.

Memorials may be given to the Buddy Foundation in Nelson's name.
