Nellie L. Tooley, 82, of Cherry Valley, IL, died peacefully, October 13, 2021, in Cherry Valley. She was born March 18, 1939, in Ohio, daughter to Clarence and Elsie (Bowen) Robbins. Nellie worked for Lucent Technologies, formerly affiliated with GTE, for many years. She was a member of More To Life Church. She enjoyed quilting and crochet; gardening; and flowers. She was an avid reader of the Holy Bible and loved to listen to Christian music.

Nellie will be missed dearly by her daughters, Connie (Floyd) Young and Beverly (Don) White; sister, Sylvia Gravely; grandchildren, Joshua White, Jacob (Brittani) White; step grandchildren, Chelsie Case, Corey and Cody Case and Rick and John Young; great grandchildren, Ryland and Aria, Cecelia and Jaxson; and step-great grandchildren, Storm and Serenity Vandiver; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son, Danny Tooley; parents; and several brothers and sisters.

A visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m., Friday, October 22, 2021, at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL 61008.

A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home. Pastor Alfonso Alarcon will officiate. Burial at Belvidere Cemetery. In Nellie's honor, donations to Special Olympics.
