Nellie F. Taylor, 86, of Poplar Grove, IL passed away Tuesday morning, January 28, 2019 in Maple Crest Care Center after an enduring illness. Nellie was born Friday, December 8, 1933 in Harrison, Ohio the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Mildred (Dalbrady) Dunaway. She married Jack A. Taylor on April 8, 1958 in Harrison, Ohio. Prior to her retirement, she worked for Clausen Pickle in Woodstock, IL. She was a member of the Belvidere Moose Club, the Harvard Moose Club as well as the Red Hats Society. Nellie loved her family, especially her grandchildren; playing Bingo, crafts and making friends everywhere. She never met a stranger and she loved to talk; and when playing Bingo she loved to yell, "Oh Shit!"
Nellie is loved and will be missed by her children, Marilyn (Frank) Haughton of Scotland, Jonathan (Christine) Taylor, Rockford, IL Terry (Ray) Richardson, Poplar Grove, IL; brother, William Dunaway; sister, Juanita Taylor; 12 Grandchildren and 26 Great-Grandchildren. Nellie is preceded in death by her Parents; husband, Jack; son, Walter E. Taylor, Jr.
The visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, February 1, 2020 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery. Memorials gifts may be given in care of Nellie's family.
