Nancy L. Proctor, 62, of Rockford entered into heaven November 25, 2006, with family by her side. Nancy was born January 3, 1944, in Belvidere, the middle daughter of C. Irwin and Helen Louise (Johnson) Maitland. Nancy graduated from North Boone High School and later married the love of her life Marvin R. Proctor on August 12, 1978, in Rockford. She worked over 23 years for Bill Hembrough Buick as an accountant, retiring in 1997. Nancy was a 15-year member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, Aerie 392, and a longtime volunteer at Swedish American Hospital in the pediatrics department. She was also a charter and founding member of the Rockford British Boots and Bonnets Car Club. Nancy loved to travel with her husband and also enjoyed sewing. She loved to share and interact with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Nancy is survived by her loving husband Marvin R. Proctor; cherished children, Brenda (Julius) Collins, Charles Eugene (Deborah) Onley, Cristopher (Christy) Proctor, and Keith L. Proctor; 12 loving grandchildren; sisters, Sally (Jack) Richey, and Patsy (Dennis) Fayard, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
