Nancy E. Herkey, 76, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in her home. Born May 14, 1935 in Chicago, daughter of Lester and Mary Alice (Fitch) Goodrich. Nancy worked many jobs in her life, enjoyed crocheting and adding to her "Peanuts" collection, she loved to play cards and was an avid reader, her favorite book was "A Tree for Peter". She actively attended Bible Baptist Church.Survivors include her daughters Vickie Ann Shelabarger, Donna Rae Calohan, Sharon Jean (Henry) Woosley and Elizabeth Mae (Miguel) Lopez all of Belvidere, sons Keith Walter (Randi) Herkey of Grayslake and Charles Edward (Yvonne) Herkey of Tampa, FL, 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, sister Alice Goodrich and brother Edward (Sandra) Goodrich both of DesPlaines, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, son Kevin Allen Herkey, 2 grandchildren Holly Jean Jasper and Aaron Michael Herkey.
