Nancy H. Grenke, 85, of Belvidere, IL passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015. Mom was born in Mount Clemens, MI on May 2, 1930, where she met the love of her life, Gottlieb in the 1940's. The two moved their family to Belvidere, IL in 1967, where the family grew. Family meant everything to her. She enjoyed family gatherings with her brood, the "10 Little Indians," as she called them. As hobbies, she loved crocheting, picnics, assembling puzzles together, listening to country gospel and reminiscing about the good old days. At the end of her earthly journey, she was surrounded by 3 generations; her children, and many, many grandchildren at home. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Gottlieb of 61 years, her parents, and siblings. Sadly to say, she was also preceded in death by her son, Marvin, the second eldest child and her daughter, Sandra, the fourth oldest child. She was the fiber that kept a large family together with her husband. As a matriarch, she is also survived by eight other children whom are by eldest to youngest are Linda Grenke, Nancy Taylor, Darlene Kirchhoff, Dianna Wagner, Jerry Grenke, Edward Grenke, Karen Leonard, Michael Grenke; as well as 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren and close family friend, Susan Kluck.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2015 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Keith Manley officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family.
