Nancy
Adams
Jan 19, 1957 — Mar 22, 2018
After a long battle with her declining health, Nancy (Heath) Adams went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, March 22, 2018 while surrounded by her devoted family at home in Belvidere, Illinois. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her common-law husband, Ron Morris; her son, Mark (Belinda) Cotner and grandchildren Bailey & Mary; daughter, Christina (Daniel) Ralston and grandchildren, Conner and McKenzie.
Nancy's journey began on January 19, 1957 in Sycamore, Illinois where she was born to father, Willie Heath and mother, Melba Grieff who predeceased her. She graduated high school in Genoa, Illinois and is retired from Wal-Mart. In her spare time, she enjoyed many hobbies, including collecting memorabilia and listening to and attending concerts of the country-music band, Brooks & Dunn.
She accomplished many things in her lifetime but always remained humble about her experiences. She influenced many with her love of others. Her most cherished memories were times with her family. She also found joy in simple things and did not take her blessings for granted. Nancy dedicated much of her life to raising her two children with patience, love, and humility; always encouraging them and taught them how to be strong in despite of their limitations and life's hardships. She was kind, soft-spoken, and will always be remembered for her sweet laugh and warm smile. She was dedicated to fight her illness and remained a brave, iron-willed woman even throughout her final moments. Nancy will be remembered for many things, but most especially for her beautiful smile, her determination, and her genuine compassion for others. She will be dearly missed and always in our hearts.
She grew up in a large, loving family and is survived by her common-law husband; children and grandchildren; as well as her brothers and sisters: Connie Peters; Laurie Cunningham, Linda Heath, Johnny Heath, Rich Heath, Patrick Heath, Lola Roper, Debbie Grieff, David Grieff, Kenneth Grieff; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Kenneth Grieff; and brother, Danny Heath.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all those who have supported us during this time of loss. In addition, the family would also like to thank OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center and the hospice from OSF Home Care Service for their excellent work and constant, attentive treatment. Many thanks to Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services for making the arrangements. Nancy requested to be cremated without any services. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Prayers, condolences and memories are gladly accepted at www.Andersonfcs.com.
Oh, yeah… by the way, she has always and will forever LOVE her hard workin' men!
