Myrtle F. Winkelman, 96, of Mukwonago, WI, formerly of Belvidere, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 in Linden Grove Health Care Center. Born January 10, 1916; daughter of H. Charles and Flora (Darmon) Jones. Married Chester C. Winkelman on March 8, 1943 in Harrisburg, PA; he died August 3, 1999. Myrtle was an elementary school teacher for 33 years, including 20 years at Perry School, retiring in 1977. Graduate of Capron High School in 1934, Northern Illinois University, and North Central College. Member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Immanuel's "Over 60's", Illinois and National Teaching Associations, Boone County Retired Teachers (BETA), former member of Belvidere Women's Club, Highland Hospital Auxiliary, Boone County Farm Bureau, and the Alpha Psi chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. Survivors include her sons Gordon (Anita) of Tucson, AZ, Dale (Theresa) of Waukesha, granddaughters Nichole (David) Zimmerman, Wendy (John) Byrnes, Danielle (Mike) Cary, Michelle (Trevor) Mackey, great-grandchildren Sara Smith, Pieter, and Anika Winkelman, Jarod Mackey, Jacob and Justin Zimmerman, Tessa and Brady Byrnes, and brother Ellis (Irene) Jones. Predeceased by her parents, husband Chester, brother Robert Jones and sister Gladys Martin.
