Myrtle A. Hermanson, 94, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully in Belvidere on February 28, 2025. She as born May 21, 1930, daughter to Willis and Hilda (Nowak) Hollister in Belvidere. She graduated Belvidere High School in 1948 and married Glen Hermanson in 1974 at Herbert Methodist Church in Herbert, IL. She worked as a switch board operator in her youth and GTE in Genoa as a factory worker for 33 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with family and going to the Boone County Fair.  She liked to visit the Edwards Apple Orchard, the casino and the Belvidere Park by the dam especially in the fall when the colors were changing.

Myrtle is loved and will be missed by her daughters, Vicke (Scott) Morrow, Rhonda Jones. Brenda Boynton, and Grace Ann (Steven) Kluson; grandchildren, Jim (Meg) Morrow, Valerie (Clay) Frazer, Rusty Walter, Ryan Kluson, Zachary Kluson; great grandchildren, Julia, Gavin, Hayden, Avery, Sommara, Morissa, Annabelle and Andrew; and best friend, Joanne Wensky.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn, daughter, Kimmey Walter; and brother, Billy Hollister.

A visitation will be at 11 a.m. until the time of the 12 p.m. service Friday, March 7, 2025, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services. Pastor Bobby Sheets will officiate.
