Muriel Rosalind (Parcell) JarvisLoving Mother and GrandmotherBelvidere, ILMuriel Rosalind (Parcell) Jarvis, 87, of Belvidere, IL died early Friday morning, May 7, 2010 in SwedishAmerican Hospital-Rockford, after a sudden illness. Muriel was born November 26, 1922 in London, England the daughter of Fredrick W. and Muriel H. (Dickenson) Parcell. She married Richard P. Jarvis on April 11, 1944 in London. Muriel worked as a secretary for a law firm in England before meeting and marrying her husband, Richard, who was stationed in England during World War II with the Army Air Corp. When they returned stateside, Muriel devoted her life to raising and caring for her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a former member of the BYKOTA guild. Survivors include her children, Paul Jarvis of Belvidere and Linda (Mark) Bloom of Machesney Park; grandchildren Claudia Henao, Marla (Sam) Maurici, Andrea Henao and Christopher Henao; great-granddaughter, Avery Rose Maurici; nephew, Bob (Carla) Fill. Muriel is predeceased by her parents, husband, Richard and infants Lori May and Andrew Wesley Jarvis.
