Milton Wayne Wills, 92, of Belvidere died peacefully January 19, 2022 in Belvidere. He was born May 3, 1929 in Galena, Il, son to George and Ina Wills. Growing up on a farm in the depression taught Wayne how to work hard; something he did his entire life, not retiring until age 82. After graduating high school in 1947 he enlisted in the Air Force because of his love for flying; a love that never left him. In his 50's he built a gyrocopter which he flew for many years.

Wayne was most happy when he was "creating." He was a machinist most of his life, built his own home, and could fix anything that was broken. He and his wife Jackie enjoyed camping in their RV, camping in 49 states and Canada.

Wayne raised four children whom he loved fiercely, as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In his later years Wayne found his "family" extended in the people of the Herbert and Kingston United Methodist Churches.

Wayne loved people and honestly never met a stranger in his life. He will be missed by many.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, his eight brothers and sisters, his son Jody, granddaughter Heather, and great grandchildren Stephanie and Stuart.

He is survived by his wife Jackie, daughters Yolanda Migliaccio and Yvette (Jack) Thrun, son Bob (Jennifer) Meinke, grandchildren Adam (Melissa) Neace, Bree Meinke, great grandchildren Jason Gordon, Spencer Neace and Diana Neace.

A memorial service will be held at Herbert United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 29 at 11AM. A luncheon will follow.
