Milton A. Anderson, 91, of Poplar Grove, IL, passed away, Monday, November 14, 2016 at Maple Crest Care Center. Born August 11, 1925 in Rockford, IL, son of Alfred and Jennie (Rosennquist) Anderson. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II, where he was stationed on the USS Queen. Milton married Betty Reser on July 6, 1951 in Belvidere, IL, she preceded him in death on May 7, 1986. He owned and operated M.A. Anderson, which specialized in cranes, dredging, excavating, and bulldozer services. Milton was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 for 68 years. He enjoyed going to coffee shops, and most of all, he loved going to his pond several times a day to feed the fish.
Milton is survived by many specials friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Highland Garden of Memories Chapel, 9800 Route 76, Belvidere, IL, 61008. Cremation rites have taken place. There will be a cup of coffee on Milt after his celebration of Life at Bravo's in Poplar Grove, 13555 IL-76, Poplar Grove, IL 61065.
