Mildred Osberg, 90, of Belvidere died Monday January 2, 2006 at O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center. She was born June 6, 1915 in Poplar Grove to Albert and Hulda (Leidberg) Anderson. She married Gilbert Osberg on June 12, 1937 in Rockford, he preceded her in death in 1984. She worked as an inspector at Admiral for 19 years until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of the Poplar Grove United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her work with the United Methodist Ladies Auxillary where she made rag rugs. She was also a part of the crafters group at Shadley Apartments. She is survived by daughters: Marilyn (Stanley) Johnson of Poplar Grove, Margie (Orin Eugene) Johnson of Belvidere, son Allan Osberg of Deerbrook, WI., 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, brother Kenneth (Eleanor) Anderson of Palmer, Alaska, a sister-in-law Ruby Osberg of Rockford, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, brother William Anderson, and an infant brother.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Poplar Grove United Methodist Church.
