Belvidere, IllinoisMildred Frances Munrow, 89 of Belvidere, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 20, 2009 surrounded by her family after a short illness. She was born February 15, 1920 in Belvidere to Robert and Ruth (Long) Burrows. Mildred retired from Champion Packaging in 1985. After retiring she worked for the Tollway Gift Shop.She was a faithful servant for her Lord in the Evangelical Covenant Church, Calvary Baptist church, and the new work of Faith Baptist Church of Belvidere. She served in various ministries of the church, including Sunday school teacher, children's ministries, or wherever she was needed. She enjoyed Community Concerts, serving on the board and a member of women's club. She shared the love of the Chicago Cubs with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Survivors are her children, Sara Owens, LaVonne (James) Arand, Robert (Janet) Munrow; grandchildren, Vanessa (Denny) Eaton, Tom (Jennifer) Owens, Brenda (David) Hawkins, Joan (Gary) Crowe, James (Rhonda) Arand, Scott (Rhonda) Munrow, Stacey (Douglas) Lamb; brother, Robert Burrows of Oak Park, IL, 19 Great grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren, several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was an adopted Mom or Grandma to many people.She was preceded in death by her parents and Son-in-law, Tom Owens.
Memorials may be given in care of the family to be used for mission work.
