Mildred Selma Ruehl-Kinzel, 92, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born October 25, 1918 in St. Clair County, daughter of Walter and Selma (Kleinschmidt) Sauthoff. Married Elmer Ruehl on January 20, 1942 in Hannibal, MO. Married Norman Kinzel on May 8, 1982 in Marissa, IL. Graduated from Belleville Township High School, class of 1936. Obtained her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Southern Illinois University. Mildred was an elementary school teacher for 26 years in the St. Clair County schools, retiring in 1974. Member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Young at Hearts, the IL Retired Teacher's Association, and the American Bell Collector's Association. She was also an avid square dancer.Survivors include her daughter Claudia (James) Hauch of Belvidere and son Bruce Ruehl of CA, grandchildren Deann Montgomery, Timothy Hauch, Randall Hauch, Jason Ruehl, and Jennifer Ruehl, 7 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Martha Sauthoff of FL. Predeceased by her parents, husbands Elmer Ruehl and Norman Kinzel, and brother Floyd Sauthoff.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
