Mildred J. Jepson, 88, of Cherry Valley, IL, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, September 19, 2021, in her home. Mildred was born August 26, 1933, in Elgin, IL, the daughter of Reno A. and Florence E. (Wright) Davis. She married David C. Jepson Sr. on March 11, 1950, in Elgin, IL, and they had four children. In later years, she worked as a receptionist for several physicians' offices. However, her first priority was caring for her husband and children, and she loved being a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Mildred made her spiritual home at Grace Reformed Baptist Church in Rockford, where she was very active. She had a beautiful singing voice, and she shared her love for music with family and friends throughout her life.

Mildred is loved and will be missed by her children, David Jr., Susan (Francis) Lenski, Daniel (Shari), and James (Carlene); grandchildren, Daniel, Mary, Eric, Tom, Emily, Ryan, Jacob, Brianna, Cassidy, and Trevor; great-grandchildren, Timothy, Elise, and Sage; nieces and nephews. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 71 years, David; and brother, Reno Davis Jr. She is survived by her sister, Florence Zimmerman.

The visitation for Mildred will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL. Mildred's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by the burial in Belvidere Cemetery. A luncheon at the Jepson home will follow the graveside service.
