Mickey M. "Mike" Free, age 64, of Belvidere, Il died Saturday morning, May 28, 2005 in Biltmore Rehabilitation Center after a lingering illness. He was born June 12, 1940 in Mystic, Iowa the son of Emory and Helen (Bullard) Free. He married Judy Jones on March 9, 1984 in Belvidere, IL. Judy's death occurred June 5, 2005. Mike was a long time employee of Barber Coleman Co. and then was self employed in the food service industry. After Mickey's retirement from food service, he owned and operated the Rock City Tap. Mike enjoyed dining with his wife Judy and traveling to the gambling boats to play the slot machines.Survivors include daughters, Nikki (Jovon) Burrell of Belvidere, IL, LeeAnne (Tony) Bertino of Caledonia, Rikki (John) Rockey of Rock City, IL, Paula (Pete) Culvey of Caledonia, IL; son, Chuck (Jeannette) Pollnow of Medford, WI; grandchildren, Cody Fowler, Stefan Stephens, Case Rockey, Morgan and Lindsey Culvey, Cazzandra and Jenson Pollnow; L'Nea Lancaster; brothers and sisters, William (Bev) Free, Jimmie (Nyla) Free both of Rockford, Glenice (Jerry) McGowan of Clarkridge, AR, Fred (Rita) Free, Betty Waite, Dixie Miller; and his best "friend" Kobi.Mike is predeceased by his parents and sisters, Ruby Harson and Ann Walker.

A memorial will be established in Mickey's name.
