Michelle Marie Montgomery went home to the Lord at UW Hospital Madison on Saturday, September 3, 2005 after a 13 year battle with Lupus. She died peacefully with family and friends at her side.Michelle was born April 5, 1984 in Belvidere, IL to Kathy (Jim) Mechler and Ray (Jenny) Montgomery. Michelle attended Belvidere schools and graduated with the Class of 2005. She was a member of East Park Baptist Church in Belvidere.Michelle is lovingly survived by her parents; her grandparents, Earl and Dorothy Mavis; her brothers, Ray (Monica) Montgomery, Jim (Michelle) Mechler, Jon Mechler and sister, Daisy Mechler. She is further survived by her nieces, Raelynn, Madyson and Ryleigh Montgomery; her nephews, Jake and Luke Mechler; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harley and Harriet Montgomery and Alvin and Daisy Mechler; uncles, Joe and John Montgomery and aunt, Jane Montgomery.The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at UW Hospital for the compassionate care they have given Michelle over the last 13 years. The doctors, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, and all our special friends have made Michelle's journey bearable. A special thank you goes out to our dear friends the Stewart's, who have given more than anyone could ever comprehend. All the love and care that has been extended to Michelle and this family will never be forgotten.
