Michael Vinciguerra, 81, of Belvidere, IL passed away on
January 10, 2020 in Belvidere, IL surrounded by his family. He was born on
November 12, 1938 in Queens, NY to Michael and Martha (Fuerst) Vincinguerra. Michael
married his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Scott, on September 13, 1969 in
Forest Park, IL. After graduating high school, Michael went on to attend the St.
Francis College where he graduated with his bachelor's degree in Mathematics. He
was a teacher for many years and was a computer programmer. Recently, he was a
substitute teacher for the Belvidere School District. Michael found his
spiritual home at St. James Catholic Church and was a member for a number of years.


Michael loved golfing, computers, his church, camping, being
outdoors, and mathematics. He was a collector of stamps, coins, and currencies
from different countries and time periods. He loved cheering on the New York Yankees,
and he loved talking politics. But most importantly, he loved spending time
with his family.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Linda; his children, Tom
(Rachel) Vinciguerra, Barbara (Damian) Rodriguez, Danny Vinciguerra, and Kevin
(Larisa) Vinciguerra; his brothers and sister, Vincent (Nina) Vinciguerra,
Martha Vinciguerra, and Carl (Mary) Vinciguerra; and his grandchildren, Amanda and
Damian Rodriguez, Ian Vinciguerra, and David and Michelle Block.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his granddaughter,
Maria Vela.

The visitation will be from 10-11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL, 61008. The funeral mass will be at 12 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church, 402 Church St, Belvidere, IL 61008. Rev. Brian Geary will be officiating.
