Michael Schlossmann, 51, of Flowery Branch, GA, entered eternal life on May 19, 2022, in Braselton, GA. He was born October 3, 1970 in Evanston, IL, to Robert J. and Elaine (Powal) Schlossmann. Michael married Mary Gerlikas July 28, 2000 in Barrington, IL, and were married for a wonderful 21 years. He worked as an Engineer at SKF USA for 32 years, and was a member of the Prince of Peace Church in Flowery Branch.
Mike was a grill master extraordinaire, and loved to cook. He loved spending time with his family. He was extremely handy, and liked to work around the house doing projects. Mike enjoyed traveling and driving his prized possession, his Ford Mustang.
He is loved and will be missed by his beloved wife, Mary L. Schlossmann; parents Elaine and Robert Schlossmann; children Christopher (Charlotte) Schlossmann and Brianna (fiancée Riley) Schlossmann; step-children Crystal Killeen and Aaron Killeen; grandchildren Aiden M. Hernandez, Alaric Meyer, and Brendan J. McGarry; brother Darrick (Renae) Schlossmann; brother and sister-in-laws Peter (Miriam) Gerlikas, Sharon Gerlikas, Donna (Richard) Delisle, and Joy Chapa; nieces Gabriela Chapa, Brittany (Ben) Schroeder, Lauren Delisle, and Olivia Schlossmann; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Dorothy and Edwin T. Powal, and Roy and Bertha Schlossmann.
We all have such wonderful memories that live on in our hearts. We will miss you dearly. May you rest in peace.
A visitation will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL, from 4 p.m. until a time of sharing at 7 p.m. Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Friday May 27, 2022, at St. James Catholic Church, 402 Church St. Belvidere, IL. A burial will take place at St. James Cemetery after mass. Memorials in Michael's honor may be given to St. Judes Children Hospital, or the Parkinson's Foundation at www.parkinson.org.
