Melissa A. Shattuck, 30, of Rockford, passed away Monday, August 31, 2009. She was born August 12, 1979 in Tucson, Arizona, the daughter of Wayne and Cynthia (Hall) Shattuck. Melissa lived most of her life in Belvidere. She was a self-employed Estatician in Skin Care. A member of The Cathedral of St. Peter. Her daughter Amalia was the love of her life. Melissa loved being with friends and family, walking her dog, Bruno and listening to music. Melissa attended Belvidere High School and received her GED from Roosevelt School. She is survived by her daughter, Amalia Fane, Rockford; Parents, Wayne and Cindy Shattuck, Poplar Grove, Ill.; a sister, Angela (Stacy) Green, Caledonia, Ill.; a brother, Tom Shattuck, Rockford; four nephews, Ryland, Sam, Chance and Connor; maternal grandmother, Rena Hall, Rockford, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and one very special great aunt, Mary Thiebedeau whom she loved very much. She is preceded in death by Maternal grandfather, William Hall and paternal grandparents, Loren and Gertrude Shattuck.

A Memorial Fund for her daughter is being established in her name.
