Melissa D. Darling-Kruchunas, 36 of Belvidere, IL passed away March 10, 2017 in Belvidere, IL tragically from the effects of an apartment fire.  Melissa was born in Anniston, Alabama the daughter of Richard and Joann Darling.  She loved her family.  Melissa is loved and will be missed by her mother, Joann Ekman; children, Katreena Kreger, Dakota Kleven, Raymond Kleven, Melanie Kleven and grandson, Joseph Michael.  Melissa is also loved by her brothers and sisters, Ruthann Kessler, Christine Ekman, Peter Ekman, Matthew Peters, Heather Schuett; many nieces and nephews and friends.  Melissa is predeceased by her Grandma and Grandpa Gosch; stepfather Peter Ekman and Aunt Sharon Patton.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL  a Prayer and reflection service will be held at 4:00 p.m.

Memorial can be given in care of Melissa's daughter Katreena.
