Mattie Lynn Steurer, beloved infant daughter of Jeff and Karen (Nelson) Steurer, was born to eternity on October 9, 2007 in Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village, Ill. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Elena; maternal grandparents, Jeff and Marilee Nelson, Guatemala, Central America; and paternal grandmother, Karen Steurer, Belvidere, Ill.; and other family members. Preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Michael Steurer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family in her name.
